Ethel Robinson Dobbins, age 98

Ethel Robinson Dobbins, age 98, of Henrietta, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016.

Born on Wednesday, March 20, 1918 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Victor Robinson and Ellie Mae Frazier Robinson. Ethel worked for Burlington Mill-Henrietta Plant for over forty years before retirement and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. Ethel especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Robert Dobbins; son, Carl Edwin Dobbins; sister, Estelle Robinson McCurry; son-in-law, Thomas Caleb Campfield and daughter-in-law, Diane Matheny Dobbins.

Survivors include one daughter, Frieda Dobbins Campfield of Henrietta; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, five great-great-granchildren.

A funeral service was conducted at the First Baptist Church of Henrietta with Reverend Mike Cash, Reverend John Godfrey and Reverend Pete Bridges officiating. Interment followed at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of choice.
