Eugenia Hendrix Padgett, 90, of Ellenboro, passed away on April 11, 2015.
A native of Rutherford County, she was born on June 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Alonzo Hendrix and Effie Horne Hendrix. She was retired from the Textile Industry and a member of Bostic First Baptist Church. She loved to work in her flowers and garden.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Padgett; one son, James Faye Padgett; one grandchild, Chad Campbell. She is survived by one son, Arnold Ray Padgett of Grover; one daughter, Brenda Padgett Campbell of Ellenboro; one sister, Ethel Summey of Cliffside; her grandchildren, Stacey Padgett, Sharon Padgett Williams, Danielle Marlowe, and Alexys Padgett; her great grandchildren, Austin Williams, Zachery Williams, Madison Marlowe and Zander Padgett.
Funeral services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
