Eula Ruth Nichols Hollifield, 91

Eula Ruth Nichols Hollifield, 91, passed away on May 18, 2019.

She was born November 17, 1927 to the late Asbery William Nichols and Aurora Patterson Nichols. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jack Scruggs Hollifield, one son Henry Joe Hollifield, four brothers James Earl Nichols, Asbery William Nichols, James Wesley Nichols and Johnthan Willard Nichols, four sisters Marie Scruggs, Iliene Ferguson, Florance Quackenbush, Mary Hawkins and one great-grandchild, and one granddaughter.

She is missed and survived by her sons Micheal Hollifield (Annie), William (Rene) Hollifield, Doug Hollifield (Pam); two daughters Hilda Bailey and Gloria Fitch Stidham and husband Larry; two sisters Willa Dean Ware (Doc), Carolyn Ware and a special sister-in-law Dorthy Hollifield; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Ruth loved all of her family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and siblings.

A funeral service was held at Trinity Baptist Church. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
