Evangeline Roberson Holland, age 85

Evangeline Roberson Holland, age 85, of Ellenboro, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018.

Born December 22, 1932 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Roberson and Eloise Harrill Roberson. A graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1951, she also attended Blanton's Business School in Asheville. Evangeline worked for Burlington Industries and Galey-Lord as a computer data processor for twenty-five years and was the church secretary for Caroleen Baptist Church for thirteen years. She was a longtime member of Caroleen Baptist Church where she served in the children's ministries. She enjoyed woodworking, painting and cooking. Evangeline loved her Lord, her family and her church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Gordon Holland. Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Teresa Holland Crow and husband, Dixon of Ellenboro; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Caroleen Baptist Church. Rev Allen Hall and Rev Lanny J. Funchess officiated. Entombment followed in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
