Floyd Crawford, age 93

Floyd Crawford, age 93, of Rutherfordton, passed away on November 6, 2018.

Floyd was the son of the late Samuel and Mattie Epley Crawford, and the husband to the late Pauline Shipp Crawford. Floyd retired from the United States Army, and later volunteered for the Spindale Police department.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Teresa Woodward (Jim); daughter Paula Crawford (Terry Vinson); son David Crawford (Clara Bumgarner); daughter Deana Whiteside (Bobby); daughter Dana Brandle (Michael); daughter Shannon McCabe (Charles); 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; In addition to his parents and wife, Floyd was preceded in death by son Scott Crawford; a special aunt Adele Epley; brothers Willie, Johnnie, R.L., and Jimmy.

A Rosary was held at Crowe's Mortuary, Services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Forest City, burial followed at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Military honors were provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
