Forest City Fire & Rescue presents awards, names new chief

Forest City Fire & Rescue recently presented awards to firefighters. Fire Chief Mark McCurry presented Dylan Radford (second from left) the Robert G. Harrill Training Award. Matt Decaprio (third from left) was presented Forest City Fire & Rescue Firefighter of the Year. James Pettit II (fourth from left) was named Robert G. Harrill Most Dedicated Responder. McCurry is retiring this year, and as of Feb. 1, Ferrell Hamrick will lead the department as chief. He has served Forest City Fire & Rescue for 27 years, 10 of which have been as Assistant Chief.
