On Thursday, November 1, The Foundation Performing Arts Center, on the campus of Isothermal Community College in Spindale, NC will celebrate its 20th Season. The evening will begin with a preshow reception in the lobby and a silent auction full of autographed posters from 20 years of shows, followed by the pop-jazz stylings of singer-songwriter and trombonist Aubrey Logan.

On November 5th, 1999 the premiere season at The Foundation began with a concert by the North Carolina Symphony, followed the next evening by a concert featuring the Fairfield Four and the late Doc Watson. According to Russell Wicker, Director of The Foundation, "we have been blessed to have on our stage some great artists. Twenty seasons and 236 shows later, it's time to celebrate, and Aubrey Logan is the perfect artist to help us celebrate."

Logan is perhaps best known for her unique swing-tinged, trombone-laced pop performances with the band Postmodern Jukebox, but now Aubrey has stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist and songwriter with a sensational cross-genre sound! Her concerts feature a breathtaking array of originals and original takes on some of the classics.

Known throughout the world as the Queen of Sass, Aubrey's first full album entitled Impossible reflects her inimitable, fun and quirky style, as well as displaying a sensitive vulnerability. Whether she's jammin' on her trombone or sailing through a song with her nothing-held-back, multi-octave vocal instrument, Logan captivates audiences and delivers originality to everything modern in music.

At 6:30, prior to the performance will be a reception in the lobby open to all ticket holders. The performance will begin at 8:00 PM. The silent auction will continue until the end of the concert's intermission.

Tickets are available for this as well as all other shows in the 2018-2019 Season, with reduced fee season packages available. Tickets can be purchased at any time online at www.FoundationShows.org. Patrons can also call 828.286.9990 or visit the box office, Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The box office is also open two hours before each performance.

The Foundation Performing Arts & Conference Center is located on the campus of Isothermal Community College at 286 ICC Loop Road, Spindale, NC 28160. For facility rental information call 828-395-1454.
