Frances Moneita Dixon, age 79

Frances Moneita Dixon, age 79 of Spindale, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

She was born September 3, 1936 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Willie Lee West and Fannie Crotts West. Frances was a lifelong Methodist, a graduate of Cool Springs High School and retired from Broyhill Furniture. Her husband, Hugh Herman Dixon preceded her in death in 1994.

Survivors include her son, Mark Dixon and his wife Lauren of Gastonia, two grandchildren, a brother, Larry West and wife Lynn of Greer, SC, a sister, Barbara Ann Waters and husband Bud of Sunshine, NC.

Funeral services were held at the Covenant Baptist Church in Gastonia with Reverend Barron W. Lee and Reverend Olin S. Byrum, III, officiating. A graveside service was held in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Forest City. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
