Frances Radford, age 78

Frances Radford, age 78, of Forest City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

Born June 8, 1936 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Harris and Ethel Moore Harris. Frances worked at Cone Mills-Haynes Plant for many years and a member of the Rutherford County Traffic & Crime Control Unit for fifteen years.  She was a faithful and active member of Forest City Foursquare Church. She was a woman of strong faith and life, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a loyal friend.  She loved her family dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Harris and Bobby Harris; grandson, Matthew Radford and great-grandson, Zander Cantrell.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Lester Eugene Radford; two sons, Danny Eugene Radford and wife, Mischa of Sunset Beach, NC and Terry Lee Radford and wife, Charleen of South Mountain, NC; ten grandchildren, Crystal Hardin, Shane Radford, Shena Torminia, Brandon Radford, Portia Cantrell, Chelsea Radford, Terryl Radford, Terry Radford, Jr., Josh Radford and Nikki Radford; twenty-one great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Forest City Foursquare Church with Reverend Ricky Poteat officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
