Frances Teaster Ledbetter, age 91

Frances Teaster Ledbetter, age 91, of Forest City, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

Frances was born on September 26, 1927 to the late George Ivy McSwain and Bessie Ramsey McSwain. She was a graduate of Tri-High, class of 1944 and a longtime member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. Frances was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She previously worked as a private caregiver, foster parent and co-owned an appliance business for many years with her first husband, Clyde Teaster.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by two husbands, Clyde Teaster and Roy Ledbetter, sons Roger Teaster and Kenneth Teaster; daughter, Brenda Teaster and a granddaughter.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter-in-law, Beth Teaster of Mooresboro, stepdaughters, Donna Larch (Larry) and Janice Faucett all of Boiling Springs SC and stepson, Gerry Ledbetter (Lesa) of Rutherfordton; 1 granddaughter, 3 grandsons; 6 step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
