Frances Upton Lewis, age 74

Frances Upton Lewis, age 74, of Bostic, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019.

Frances was born October 6, 1944 in Greenville, SC to the late George William Upton and Dosha Ella Foster Upton.

She loved all animals and especially horses. She worked as a horse caretaker for several years and in the pulp wood business with her husband for many years. Frances also enjoyed working for Glassical Heirlooms and was a past member of the Epicenter Church. She loved cooking for others and used her skill to minister to young people as the cook during the summer at Camp Bethlehem.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, James Ledford Lewis and sister, Shirley Wilson.

Those left to treasure her memory include one son, Mark Lewis (Tracy) of Ellenboro; two daughters, Sharon L. Blanton (Dean) of Forest City and Lisa Taylor of Forest City; an aunt, Vivian Inez Foster of Shelby and sister-in-law, Nadine Greenlee. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many other dear loved ones.

A celebration of Frances' life was conducted at the Epicenter Church.
