Frank M. Toney, age 77

Frank M. Toney, age 77, of Bostic, NC, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Born June 18, 1936 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Greely Toney and Alice Campbell Toney. Frank worked as a carpenter most of his life and was a truck driver for many years.  He was a charter member of Ross Hill Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Laura Mae Toney and son, Ray Dean Toney. 

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Yelton of Bostic and Lisa McCarthy and husband, Bobby of Shelby; two sons, Phillip Toney and Keith Toney and wife, Brandy all of Bostic; sister, Betty Sandefur and brother, Ralph Toney both of Bostic, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Ross Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Wheeler and Reverend Earl Godfrey officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.
