Freezin' for a reason at Polar Plunge

The 2016 Lake Lure New Year's Day Polar Plunge will be held at noon Jan. 1 followed by a beach party. This year you'll be "freezin' for a reason" to benefit the Lake Lure Fire & Rescue and Hickory Nut Gorge EMS. Prizes will be given for best costume, youngest/oldest plunger, farthest traveled, best team (10) theme, team (10) most sponsored and individual most sponsored.
