Gale Lee Roller, age 66 of Forest City, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020.

Born November 9, 1953 in Springfield, Ohio, he was a son of the late Robert Gale and Phyllis Jo Leis Roller.

At 25, Gale answered the call into ministry. He graduated from Warner Southern University in Lake Wales, Florida and pastored The First Church of God in Hartsville, SC for thirteen years. He later went on to become Director of Physician Services for 26 years, mostly at Rutherford Regional Health System in Rutherfordton. Gale attended Cornerstone Fellowship in Forest City.

Gale leaves behind a legacy of devotion to God and compassion for others. He was most loved by his wife, Penny Poland Roller, his children, Tim Roller and wife Alison of Greenville, SC, Matt Roller and wife Janet of Forest City, and Rachel Roller Mode and husband Jason of Forest City, his brothers, Reg Roller and wife Karla, Bruce Roller and wife Judy all of Sidney, Ohio, and Steve Roller and wife Amy of Chillicothe, Ohio.

Gale's delight was being known as "Papa" to his eight grandchildren. With a kind, gentle, fun-loving spirit, he shared his love for hiking, pancake breakfasts, and, most of all, the Lord.

The Celebration of Life service was held at 2nd Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Fellowship (Mission Work in India), 1186 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

The Padgett & King Mortuary is serving the family.
