Gene Wall Cole, age 63

Gene Wall Cole, age 63, of Henrietta, passed away August 22, 2015.

Born November 8, 1951 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was a son of the late Ben Nooe Cole and Jeanne Wall Cole who resides in Henrietta.

Gene was an adventurer and a man of many talents. He authored three books, was a motivational speaker, a non-denominational minister and an accomplished musician. Among his talents was the ability to play the Dulsitar Guitar, a one of a kind instrument. He also enjoyed working on the family farm, gardening and bee keeping.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bennett Cole.

Besides his mother, survivors include one sister, Susan Cole Hewitt of Charlotte; special friend, Ann Walters of Asheville and a host of family and friends.

A time of remembrance and gathering of family and friends will take place from noon until four on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Harrelson Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at four o'clock in the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with an extended time of receiving friends until nine o'clock in the evening after the service at the funeral home.
