Geneva Drum Jenkins, age 92

Geneva Drum Jenkins, age 92 of Forest City passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019.

Geneva was born July 2, 1926 in Hickory, and was a daughter of the late George Ivey Drum and Grace Hedrick Drum. Geneva was a member of Race Path Baptist Church and she was retired from the Rutherford County School System. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education and graduated Cum Laude from Western Carolina University in 1979 by attending night classes.

Geneva was a cancer survivor and a tireless worker for the American Cancer Society for many years. She was also very active in the Women's Auxiliary for Gideon's International.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jenkins in 2014.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Robbins and husband Larry, Gleena Bright and husband Max all of Forest City, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at Race Path Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
