Georlene Holland, age 75

Georlene Holland, age 75, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Born February 19, 1942 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Hoyte Bailey and Hazel Dobbins Bailey. Georlene was a homemaker and a faithful member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and visiting new places and especially loved her family. Her life's joy was taking care of her husband, her children and her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-nine years, Max Holland; two daughters, Lisa Blanton and husband, Dwayne of Rutherfordton and Mary Jo Teseniar and husband, Don of Sandy Mush; two sons, Randy Holland and wife, Gloria of Shelby and Alan Holland and wife, Sharon of Caroleen; two brothers, Jimmy Bailey and wife, Pat of Columbus, NC and Phil Bailey of Bostic. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Chad Hayes officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
