Gertrude Sinclair, 97

Gertrude Sinclair, 97, of Lake Lure, passed away, Monday, March 14, 2016.

Born in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Lizzie Shytle Flynn. She was a member of Bill's Creek Baptist Church and managed the Chimney Rock Gift Shop for many years.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Katherine McEntire and husband Ransome of Rutherfordton; sons, Graham Sinclair of Lake Lure and Kenneth Sinclair and wife Betty of Glen Allen, VA; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Sinclair.

Funeral services were held at Bill's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terrell Dillingham and Rev. Ron Reep officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bill's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1475 Bill's Creek Road, Lake Lure, NC 28746.
