Gilbert Barnes, 94

Gilbert Barnes, 94, of Cliffside, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 

A native of Cleveland County, he was born on August 16, 1920, a son of the late Benjamin Wafford & Lillie Foster Barnes. He  retired from Cone Mills Corporation-Cliffside Plant & was a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ezma Winnie Jolley Barnes; 1 son, Wayne Barnes. He is survived by 2 daughters, Betty Norville & husband Vance of Cliffside & Robin Moore & Eric of Cliffside; 1 sister, Joyce Norman of Cliffside; 5 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Joey Cantrell officiating.
