Gladynell Watkins Elliott, age 86

Gladynell Watkins Elliott, age 86 of Forest City, passed away January 10, 2018.

She was born November 11, 1932 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Charles Watkins and Nell Westbrook Watkins. Gladynell graduated from Cool Springs High School in the Class of 1950 and went on to further her education at Greensboro College where she graduated in 1954. She was homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Her husband, William Richard Elliott, Sr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons, William Richard Elliott, Jr. and wife Linda of Alpharetta, GA, Mark Elliott and wife Donna of Forest City, daughters, Kay Elliott Hollifield and husband Bill of Rutherfordton, Rebecca Elliott of the home, a brother, Terry Watkins and wife Jackie of Forest City and a sister, Joyce Watkins Waters and husband Joe of Forest City. There are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Bethany Baptist Church. Rev Chris Fox officiated. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 760 Bethany Church Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
