Gladys McDaniel Bridges, 94

Gladys McDaniel Bridges, 94, passed away to her eternal home May 26, 2015.

She was a native of Rutherford County, daughter of the late Jim and Lizzie McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bridges; brother, T.J. McDaniel; sister, Thelma McDaniel.

Survivors include her daughters and spouses, Dot Bridges Ballenger and Edward and Carolyn Lucas Adcock and Ernest; son, Bobby Joe Bridges; grandchildren and spouses, Todd Ballenger (Laura), Jill Ballenger, Angie Ballenger Bloomfield, Jason Lucas; great-grandchildren, William and Catherine Ballenger, Olivia Bloomfield; sister, Hazel McDaniel Robinson; brother and spouse, Rev. Rebern McDaniel (Mildred); nieces, nephews, and spouses, Cindy Robinson Gosey (David), Polly Robinson Crawley (Danny), Jane McDaniel Keeter, Jeff McDaniel (Donna), Gary McDaniel (Robin), Mike McDaniel (Vickie), Doug McDaniel (Mary), Beth McDaniel Tsai (Jeff).

A private graveside was held at Bills Creek Baptist Church, Lake Lure, NC with the Rev. Olin S. Byrum, III officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church Building Fund, 3131 Erskine Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054, or a Hospice of your choice.
