Glenn H. Park, age 96

Glenn H. Park, age 96, passed away, January 20, 2015.

Born in Waverly, NY, he was the son of the late Curtis and Mary Park. He married the late Eleanor Dailey and they had two children, Linda Tighe and Bill Parke. Glenn served honorably in North Africa with the Army Air Corps during WWII.  Following his military service he worked for over thirty-five years at Ingersoll-Rand’s manufacturing plant in Athens, PA.  

After his retirement, he lived in Florida with his second wife, Mary, since deceased, for many years before moving to North Carolina. In addition to his two children, Glenn is survived by five sisters, Thelma Sluyter, Phyllis Douglass, Marjorie Clark, Marion Cornman, and Fairborne Buroker; five grandchildren, Randy Tighe, Jennifer Marriner, Faith Parke-Dodge, Eva Parke, and Josiah Parke, two great-grandchildren, Grant and Griffin Marriner, and many nieces and nephews. Glenn will be greatly missed by his family.  No funeral services are planned at this time and in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the RHI Legacy Foundation, P.O. Box 352, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
