Gloria Hargett Smith, age 55

Gloria Hargett Smith, age 55, of Forest City, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Gloria was born February 15, 1958 in Lexington County, NC to the late J.C. Hargett and Reba Wall Hargett.  She worked for Cone Mills and Doran Mills for many years and was a member of Haynes Memorial Baptist Church.  Gloria enjoyed collecting carousels and vacationing in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.  She was known for her heart of gold and her pride and joy was her family.

Survivors include her husband, Paul A. Smith; two sons, Jason Dills and fiancé, Lorin Rutherford of Hendersonville and Travis Smith and fiancé, Kristine Spicer of Mooresboro; two daughters, Sondra Martinez and husband, Margarito of Forest City and Paula Smith Alghorani of Forest City; brother, Richard Hargett and wife, Sherry of Cliffside.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Chelsea, Kalei, Summer Martinez and Haley Smith; great grandson, Malikhi Lowery.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jerry Condrey officiating.  Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
