Gloria Williams Bland was born in 1933, to her parents Annie Summers Williams, and RG Williams.
Gloria was the wife to the late James Wilmer Bland. As a seamstress, she worked in the textile industry of Rutherford County, and enjoyed attending church services at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
On February 21st 2018, at the age of 84, she went home to be with her Lord, leaving behind her daughter Patsy (Tommy) Freeman of Forest City, four grandchildren; sister Wyamon Price of Charlotte.
Services were held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Dr. Courtney and Rev. Richard Bass officiated.
Burial followed in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice, PO Box 336 Forest City NC 28043 or to Mount Vernon Baptist Church 2676 Hudlow Rd, Forest City, NC.
Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory assisted with arrangements.
