Grace Conner Smith, 77

Grace Conner Smith, 77, of Forest City, passed away October 2, 2018. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Julius & Alma Head Conner. Grace was a retired textile employee & a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & sister, a hard worker, & an excellent cook & baker. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bobby Joe Smith of the home; sons, Joey Smith & wife Patricia & Kelly Smith of Forest City; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Shell of Jonas Ridge, Hilda Roper of Rutherfordton & Betty Roper of Rutherfordton. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by a great grandson. Memorial services were held at Crowe's Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043. Crowe's Mortuary is serving the family.
