Grace H. Lane, age 83

Grace H. Lane, age 83, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Amos Everette Haynes and the late Molie Gertrude Arrowood Haynes. She was a member of Piney Knob Baptist Church where she served as the church board secretary for 69 years. Grace loved to garden, plant flowers and loved everyone she knew. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Elizabeth Duncan and Martha Mathis. Grace was the widow to the late Jonas Lane. She is survived by one sister, Sarah Spence of Union Mills and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at Piney Knob Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Brown and Reverend Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment was held at Piney Knob Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
