Grady "Shady" Skipper, age 67

Grady "Shady" Skipper, age 67, of Rutherfordton, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020.

Grady was born August 30, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Joe Skipper and Cordie Huntsinger Skipper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his life-long companion, Joann Bridges; three brothers, Jerry, Ben and J.C. Skipper and a sister, Kathleen Lynch.

Those left to cherish his memory include a stepdaughter, Loretta Newton of Forest City; stepson, Danny Bridges of Spindale; sister, Sherry Gragg of Shiloh; brother, Robert Skipper of Ellenboro and a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted at the Union Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 US Highway 221a, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral costs.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
