Grover Taylor, age 88

Grover Taylor, age 88, of Forest City, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014. 

A native of Polk County, he was the son of the late Lindsey and Nanney Owens Taylor. Grover was a member of Grays Creek Baptist Church, a US Navy veteran of WWII and a retired vehicle transport driver. Grover enjoyed stock car racing, baseball, cars, and dogs.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda White Taylor of the home; daughter Holly Mae Morgan; son Augusta Lee Pearson; grandchildren Greg Sizemore, Nate Sizemore, Kaitlyn Sizemore, Heather Hudson, Elizabeth Kisner, Taylor Henderson, Chelsea Pearson, and Alyssa Pearson; six great grandchildren; one sister Betty Luther of Columbus, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Christina Pearson.

Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military rites accorded by Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. 

Crowe’s Mortuary is assisting the Taylor family.
