Hands of Hope for Life Pregnancy Resource Center to host FAMILY LIFE CELEBRATION NIGHT with John Lewis

John Lewis is a contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, worship leader, and independent recording artist. He has shared the stage with numerous well-known artists including Sidewalk Prophets, Chris August, Finding Favour, I Am They, and 7eventh Time Down.

John currently serves on the pastoral staff of a church in the Hickory area, and lives in the foothills of North Carolina with his wife and five children.

Influenced early in life by a variety of musical styles such as folk, rock, blues, and traditional hymns, he spent many years developing his abilities as a guitarist and singer and playing in working bands. In college he began leading worship with Campus Crusade for Christ. Later he found himself serving on a church staff as Worship Pastor. A few years ago he began writing his own songs. The free concert will be held at The Foundation at Isothermal Community College Friday, August 24, 2018 at 6:30 pm.

A donation will be taken at the end of the evening which will benefit Hands of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center.

Hands of HOPE for Life is a pregnancy resource center that provides guidance, help and support for women and men who are facing pregnancy or have children birth through age 2. We provide free pregnancy testing, 2D ultrasounds for women who meet certain criteria, counseling, pregnancy/parenting education, Bible study, post-abortion Bible study, and prayer. We meet with our clients monthly to help with pregnancy/parenting education or counseling. We also offer educational opportunities such has high school equivalency or job skills training through Isothermal Community College. Each month after we meet with our clients we provide supplemental material items that value up to $150.00 of merchandise that help with the material needs of their child up to age two. These items include diapers, wipes, formula or baby food depending on child age, along with clothing, shoes, baby wash, diaper cream, etc. For new mothers we provide maternity clothes, a new mothers package as well as additional items they can earn which include a car seat and pack-n-play.

All of the services Hands of HOPE offers are free of charge to our clients and are funded through the donations of businesses, individuals, and churches.

Hands of HOPE has fundraisers throughout the year that also help fund this organization. The concert on August 24 will bring awareness of the needs and donations received will help supplement the material needs of our clients' children.

The donations brought in through the concert will be used to help with purchasing of the items we supply for the children in our program, personnel, and administrative costs of the organization. Our current budget needs are over $10,000 a month and this concert will help with our budget needs.
