Harold E. Mayse, 83

Harold E. Mayse, 83, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014. 

Harold was a native of Rutherford County, a member of Adaville Baptist Church, VFW member & US army veteran of the Korean War & retired from Reeves Brothers as warehouse manager.

Preceding him in death are his wife Louise Campbell Mayse, parents Arthur & Dovie Higgins, daughter Patsy Mayse, sister Betty Pope & brother Earl Higgins.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughter, Lois Radford & husband Ronnie of Rutherfordton; son Billy Mayse & wife Chris of Forest City; grandchildren Mitch Radford, Andrew Radford, Lucas Mayse, Lindsay Roddy & husband Mark, Jared Mayse & wife Amy; great grandchildren Hayden & Wyatt Mayse & Alexa Radford; sister Nancy Radford; brothers Charlie & wife Ola Higgins, Jackie & wife Judy Higgins of Forest City, Roy & wife Elizabeth Higgins & Wayne & wife Pat Higgins of Rutherfordton, Bobby & wife Gaye Higgins of Spindale.

Funeral services were held Adaville Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Whitlow & Rev. Gary Curtis officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with military honors provided by Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Holly Springs Senior Center or to Hospice of Rutherford County.
