Harry Clay Sprinkle, age 78

Harry Clay Sprinkle, age 78, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. 

A native of Madison County, NC, Harry was the son of the late Rev. Everette Forrest and Myrtle Lillian Waldrup Sprinkle. He was a retired supervisor for Broyhill Furniture Company and Universal Furniture in Marion. Harry was an ordained Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Eastwood Baptist Church and was a member and former Sunday School Superintendent at Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Alice Viola Holland Sprinkle of the home; two daughters, Debra Ann Coffey of Hudson and Janet Roach and husband David of Rutherfordton; three brothers, Rev. Charles Sprinkle and wife Lois of Candler, Harold Sprinkle and wife Shelby of Marion, and Rev. Jack Sprinkle and wife Margie of Lebanon, TN; three sisters, Novella Cable of Marion, Juanita Worley and husband Vernon of Marion, and Eva Sprinkle and husband Earl of Marion.; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a special nephew he helped raise. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons Clay Everette Sprinkle and Donald Ray Sprinkle, sister Lula Randall, and brothers John, Julian, Paul and Alvin Sprinkle.

Funeral services were held at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Sprinkle, Rev. Millard Kiser and Rev. Wade Huntley  officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
