Hattie Matilda Smith Parker, age 71

Hattie Matilda Smith Parker, age 71, of Rutherfordton passed away Monday, February 10, 2014. 

She was a native of Rutherford County, a member of The Bible Tabernacle and a retired seamstress for Tanner Companies.

Hattie was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Lee Parker and her parents James Pinkney Smith and Bessie Frady Smith, brothers J.C., Aden, Horace and Elijah Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Shirley Ruff and her husband Joe of Polk County, Sheila Burnett and her fiancee Willie Austin of Ruth; granddaughter Angela Dawn Burnett and her boyfriend Dwayne Chapman of Bostic, great grandchildren Tiffany Paige Burnett, Noah Grayson Chapman and Madison Lee Chapman of Bostic; brother James Martin Smith of Gilkey and sister Mary Elizabeth Story of Morganton and her beloved dog Thunder.

Services were held at Bible Tabernacle with Rev. Joseph Greene officiating. Burial followed at Fellowship Holiness Church Cemetery.
