Hazel C. Biddy, age 84

Hazel C. Biddy, age 84, of Caroleen, NC, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013.

Hazel was born March 12, 1929 in Rutherford County, NC to the late William Clyde Cochran and Effie Mae Haulk Cochran.  She worked for Foothills Manufacturing and Moulding Dynamics for many years and was a faithful longtime member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.  Hazel loved working with flowers and was known for her famous fried apple pies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Biddy; daughter, Linda Pilgrim and one brother, W.C. Cochran, Jr.

Survivors include four sons, Dennis Biddy and wife, Katherine of Spartanburg, SC, Buddy Biddy of Rutherfordton, Ronne Dale Biddy and wife, Kathy of Ellenboro and Terry Biddy and wife, Lisa of Rutherfordton; one sister, Marie Causby of Hinesville, GA; sister-in-law Sue Cochran of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robert Harris and Reverend Leon Brown officiating.  Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
