Hazel Irene Armstrong, age 87

Hazel Irene Armstrong, age 87, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012.

Hazel was born December 12 1924 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Clifford Swint and Sara Katherine Wilburn Swint.  She was a homemaker and a gifted seamstress and quilter.  She also was a promotion photographer. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Armstrong and five brothers and sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Swint of Illinois, Mary Miller of Black Canyon City, AZ and Dora Hill of Ellenboro; three sons, John Davis of Gloucester City, NJ, Max Wilkison and George Davis both of Phoenix, AZ.  She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
