Hazel McDaniel Robinson, passed away on February 23, 2019.

She was born to the late Jim and Elizabeth McDaniel. Hazel joined Cliffside Baptist Church on August 28, 1955. Hazel liked to be active and during those years she was Youth Department Director, Sunday School Teacher, was in the WMU and sang in the choir. She absolutely loved her church and her community. She cherished every relative and enjoyed being with them. Her genuine kindness and love were showered on anyone that came in contact with her. One of her favorite things to do was bake pound cakes and give them away. It would be hard to even guess how many were baked over the years. She loved doing handcrafts and made many Afghans as gifts. Our mother gave so much of herself to her family and friends. We fondly remember all the special things she did for us.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Robinson, one brother T.J., two sisters Thelma McDaniel and Gladys Bridges, two half-brothers Ed and Roland and a infant grandson.

She is survived by her two daughters Cindy Gosey and husband David of Easley and Polly Crawley and husband Danny of Columbia, SC, one brother Rebern McDaniel and wife Mildred of Mt. Airy, NC. Two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, will also miss Hazel.

Services were held at Cliffside Baptist Church. Hazel was laid to rest at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking memorials may be made to Cliffside Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 336 Cliffside, NC 28024.

Eggers Funeral Home is serving the family.
