Health department holding community drives

Employees of the Rutherford Polk McDowell Health Department are dressing down on the first Friday of each month to benefit the community. Each quarter a different "drive" will be held, with the items donated or monetary donations benefiting those who live in Rutherford, Polk and McDowell counties. Currently employees are donating to a coat and blanket drive to provide blankets, coats, jackets and sweaters to those who may need them. Beginning in December, a non-perishable food drive will be held.
