Helen Joyce Wilson, 85

Helen Joyce Wilson, 85, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Matilda Goode Shytle. Joyce was a member of Spencer Baptist Church, an accountant for various car dealerships and a former Town Clerk for Spindale.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheryl Smith and husband Bob of Murrells Inlet, SC, Lois Hodge of Forest City and Stacy Henson of Asheville; two grandsons; one granddaughter; five great grandchildren; niece Rhonda Chittister and husband Alan of Forest City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Wilson, brother Ray Shytle, nephew Eric Shytle and a great grandson.

Memorial services were held at Spencer Baptist Church.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spencer Baptist Church General Fund, 187 N. Oak Street, Spindale, NC 28160.
