Helen Ward Arrowood, 84

Helen Ward Arrowood, 84, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gertrude Sisk Ward. Helen was a member of Second Baptist Church and a retired sales associate.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dennis Arrowood and wife Sandra of Rutherfordton; daughter in law Cindy Arrowood of Spindale; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Junior Arrowood and a son, Donnie Arrowood.

Funeral services were held at Crowe's Mortuary with Dr. Keith Stephenson and Jason Crosby officiating. Interment was held in Rutherfordton City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 193 Callahan Koone Road, Spindale, NC 28160 or Second Baptist Church Youth Fund, 191 Green Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
