Horace Ray (H. R.) Bailey, 85

Horace Ray (H. R.) Bailey, 85, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was born January 22, 1928. Horace was the son of Ola Bailey Butler and Guy Butler.

He is survived by three sons, Ed, Ric and Jeff Bailey, all of Rutherford County and one daughter, Rhonda (Gary) Watson of Paris, KY. He has three grandchildren, Kelly Bailey Calton, Casey Watson, Molly Watson and one great-grandson, Tyler Flynn. Horace is also survived by his former wife, Ada Bailey, a brother, Glen (Betty) Butler and one sister, Shirley (Roy) Bailey. Horace graduated from Hollis High School in 1945 and retired as a truck driver after 29 years from McLean Trucking Company. 

Service was held at Crowe’s Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
