Howard "Homer" Wall, age 88, of Forest City, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016.

Born November 7, 1927 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Lawrence Wall and Annie Odessa Short Wall. Homer worked for Cone Mills-Haynes Plant for forty years before retirement and was a longtime member of Haynes Memorial Baptist Church. He also served faithfully as a deacon at the church. He was member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460 for many years. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Buck" Wall and Bob Wall.

Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Mabel Watson Wall; one daughter, Debra Womick and husband, Terry of Caroleen; two sons, Wayne Wall and wife, Betty also of Caroleen and Ronnie Wall and wife, Revonda of Bostic; two sisters, Frances Fish of Virginia and Shirley Gosey of Sandy Mush. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Haynes Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Hubert Street and Reverend Dwayne Scruggs officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
