Hoyle Max Arrowood, age 92, of Rutherfordton, widower of Bonnie Nix Arrowood passed away Sunday May 22, 2016.
Hoyle was a native of Rutherford County, a US Naval Veteran of WWII, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, retired machine operator in road construction as well as service station attendant.
Left to cherish his memory is his grandson and great-grandson, daughter in laws Kathie Arrowood and Jackie Arrowood Wingo; brothers Chalmer (Betty) Arrowood and Earl Arrowood and a sister Ruby Holland.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, Hoyle was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Lula Melton Arrowood and a son Neil Hoyle Arrowood and several brothers and sisters.
A celebration of life was held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Darley officiating. Burial held in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Youth Fund 130 Pleasant Grove Rd Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
The family would like to thank the members of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, neighbors and the surrounding community for their love, help and support during the illness and passing of our loved one.
