Ila Godfrey Price, 96

Ila Godfrey Price, 96, of Mooresboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015).

A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was born on July 16, 1918, a daughter of the late Dovie Goins Godfrey and Nora Atkinson Godfrey. She was a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church and loved to quilt.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Belt Price; one son, John Henry Price; nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Jolley and husband John of Mooresboro; her grandchildren, Sharon Nanney and husband Norman, Janet Searcy and husband Philip, Teresa Jones, Donald Price and wife Katie; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Hicks Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald McIntire and Rev. Raymond Byrd officiating. Burial followed at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
