Inez Humphries Ivey, 92, a resident of Peach Tree Nursing Center of Gaffney, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Funeral services were held at Camps Creek Baptist Church.
A native of Cherokee County, SC. Inez was born on April 17, 1919, a daughter of the late Luther and Minnie Roberson Humphries.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ivey; one son, Sammy Ivey; one daughter, Elizabeth “Sis” Huskey; four sisters, Amy Ivey, Mary Ivey, Essie Harris, and Bernice Hamrick; one brother, Owen Humphries. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ivey Allison of Gaffney and Kathy Ivey Henson and husband Bobby Dean of Gaffney; one son, Wayne Ivey of Gaffney; one brother, Lewis Humphries and wife Brenda of Gaffney; one sister, Mildred Humphries Carroll of Shelby; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
