Irma Jeanette Beason Fox went home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. 

Born October 18, 1921 she was youngest daughter of Charlie and Mertie McSwain Beason.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Fox, brothers Max and Charles Reid Beason, sisters Lucille Humphries, Johnnie Lee Callahan, and Mary Willie Bridges.  Also special nephews and nieces preceding her in death were Dan Beason, Lynn Beason, “Boo Boo” Bridges, Bobby Goode, Polly English, and Rahama Kirby.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her daughter Judy Fox Greene, son-in- law Dave of Mooresboro, and granddaughter Stephanie Randall (Joey) and great grandson Nick of Shelby.

Jeanette was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Mooresboro. She was a long time employee of Cleveland Sandwich Company beginning employment there at age 19. She was a caregiver and nurturer, especially to children. Jeanette and her sister Mary Willie cared for numerous children and the two were affectionately called Granny and Maw-Maw .

After her husband passed in 1980 Jeanette spent much of her time with her sister Mary Willie was ingrained in her family.  Members of this family are Glenn, Gene (Lunette), Straw (Bobbie), Lou Ann, Bobby, Brandy (Travis), Melaina, Lane, Clint, Chase, Kayleigh, Zack, Jennifer (Crash), Alyssa, Andrew, Adam, Carla, Mackenzie, and Kendall.  Other extended family members are Nell and Martha Fox, L.C. Jones, and many dear nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Mrs. Fox’s Life was held at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Frashier and Rev. Todd Bolin officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Fox family.
