J.C. Adams, age 79

J.C. Adams, age 79, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Born January 8, 1937 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late William Hundley Adams and Maude Hill Adams. He worked for Stonecutter Mill for forty-two years before retirement. J.C. was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, word search puzzles and was known for his ability to make train sounds with hands. He especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Laura Adams and Mary Lovelace; two brothers, Roy and Coy Adams and an infant son, Dennis Charles Adams.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Marlene Frashier Adams; three daughters, Ronda Stovall and husband, Danny of Clarkesville, TN; Robin Hopper of Piedmont, SC and Rita Hudlow of Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Moneyham and Reverend Marion Duncan officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
