J. W. Dale, age 79

J. W. Dale, age 79, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Forest and Lillian Mott Dale. J.W. was a retired textile employee and a very active member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Joe Beam of Rutherfordton; two grandsons, Joey Beam of Rutherfordton and Stacy Beam of Lake Lure; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Brooks Beam of Rutherfordton; three sisters, Betty D. Owens of Murrells Inlet, SC, Lucille D. Lail of Cliffside and Frances D. Brendle of Charlotte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Long Beam Dale.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Tomlinson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.
