James Avery Crowe, 85

James Avery Crowe, 85, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015. 

A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Paul Avery Crowe & Hattie Jane Ingram Crowe.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force, retired textile manager, & a member of Long Branch Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Juanita Amos Crowe of the home; sons Greg Crowe & wife Laurie of Rutherfordton and Terry Crowe & wife Susan of Bostic; daughter, Sherry Robbins & husband Kenneth of Forest City; brother Mickey Crowe and wife Mary of Lake Wylie, SC; 8 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, 2 grandchildren preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Ruppe officiating. Burial followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long Branch Baptist Church Building Fund, 621 Long Branch Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
