James "Big Jim" Davidson, age 73

James "Big Jim" Davidson, age 73 of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Jim was the son of the late Robert Paul Davidson and a native of Cherokee County SC. He worked for Strickland Construction Company of Ellenboro as a heavy equipment operator for many years and also worked in logging. Jim loved racing and he was an avid outdoorsmen. He always kept Coon dogs and loved to hunt Coons. He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Davidson.

He is survived by his wife; Evelyn Davidson. One Daughter: Mary D. Schaefer and her husband Darren. One Son: Paul Davidson, His mother Irene Davidson, One Step-daugher: Gwen Harwood and her husband Stephen. Four Grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Funeral service was held at Pores Ford Baptist Church. Rev Scott Moneyham officiated. Interment held at Pores Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
