Jane Roberson Campbell, age 89

Jane Roberson Campbell, age 89, of Forest City, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late James Roberson and Agnes Hamrick Roberson, and widow of the late Roy Campbell. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Forest City where she was very active in her Sunday School class and her circle group, and also a member of the Forest City Senior Citizens Club. Jane enjoyed traveling with her sisters across the US and also overseas. She retired after forty two and a half years of service from Stonecutter Mills Corporation.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also pre-deceased by her son, Ronnie Campbell, and siblings, Britt Roberson, C.L. Roberson, Alifair Reep, Earleen McBrayer, Joe Roberson, and Evelyn Edwards.

Survivors include her nieces and caregivers, Rebecca "Beckie" Huntley and Joan Robbins; a brother, George Roberson and wife Pat of Belmont, NC; sisters, Betty Anne Wright of Shelby, NC, and Patsy R. Gray of Greenville, SC; sister-in-law Dorothy Hutchins; and a number of other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in the First Presbyterian Church, Forest City, with Reverend Becky Stanley officiating. Interment followed in the Cool Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 438 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043.
