Jane Waters Jolley, age 70

Jane Waters Jolley, age 70 of the Dobbinsville Community, died Sunday, March 1, 2015. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of Melrose Lancaster Waters of Henrietta and the late Joseph Alvin Waters.  Jane was a 1962 graduate of Chase High School where she was Salutatorian of her class and an outstanding basketball player having been selected All District, All Conference and All State and she also attended Cecil's Business College.  She retired from Rutherford County Schools where she had served as cafeteria manager of Tri-Community School and Chase Middle School, and was a lifelong member of Temple Baptist Church, Henrietta where she was a choir member, nursery director, Sunday School teacher and very active in many other areas within the church.  Jane always enjoyed attending the many sporting events of her children and grandchildren through the years.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Nickey Jolley of the home; her son, Dennis Jolley of Bostic, NC; her daughter, Denise Jolley Brown and husband Aaron of Cliffside, NC; and a sister, Reita Herndon and husband Darrell of Bostic, NC.  She is also survived by granddaughters, Tara Wheeler and husband Scott, Jessica Goforth and husband Clint, and Ashley Brown; two great grandsons, Aiden and Brayden Wheeler and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held in the Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. Sam Henderson and Rev. Randy Church officiating.  Interment followed in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
